On a wet and blustery day saw us visiting Kilver Court Gardens at Shepton Mallet. The rain didn’t deter us, and after a talk about the history of the area and the history of the house and gardens, we spent an hour looking around a beautiful winter garden. The lovely parterre has been attacked by box blight(it happens to the best!). The lake and Rockery were stunning, with some gorgeous planting. Underfoot was treacherously slipping, but we managed to survive the task. They have undertaken a new stumpery and the viaduct in all its glory was spectacular. The coffee shop was very nice with log burner and cakes…… and all next door to a very nice shopping outlet
