Group coordinator – Kerry Hickman
Our new fitness group meets weekly on Tuesdays from 2.00pm at the Scout Hut, Bradford on Avon. Please do not turn up for group meetings without first registering with the Group Coordinator who will let you know availability.
Come and get strong and flexible, whilst also improving your balance! 3 for 1, what a deal! This new group is run by a qualified fitness instructor with decades of experience.
A fun guided circuit-based class (we rotate around exercise stations) with a bit of dancing, because the combination is excellent for improving coordination and balance and who doesn’t love a bit of dancing? Most music will be from the 50s-70s with the occasional foray into other decades, absolutely no rapping!
Wear comfortable clothing (joggers or trousers work best) and flat shoes, preferably trainers. Please bring some water with you too.
All participants will be required to fill out a short Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (the PAR-Q+ is a standard Fitness Industry form). You may also be required to fill out further details of any health issue or bring along a doctor’s note stating that you are cleared for exercise.
If you have any concerns about the PAR-Q+ please contact the group coordinator.
If you are already a u3a member then you can contact Kerry through our Beacon Members’ Portal. New members are given a group list with contact details when they join. If you want to ask any questions about this group before you join our u3a, then please come to one of our monthly talks or new member events. You can also contact a member of the committee via our Contact Us page.
