As the title suggests we find slimming impossible on our own! Which is why we thought we’d form this group. It’s for anyone who wants to control, or lose weight, and develop a healthier lifestyle… with backup!
This is a predominantly online support group to share ups and downs every week via a WhatsApp group. We will, however, meet in person at the start, and thereafter around once a quarter. We aim to support and learn from each other and make friends, whilst we follow our own individual eating plans – this is not about any specific diet but rather feeling good about ourselves. We will share our progress (or plateaux), our experiences, healthy tips and recipes. We’ll have a weekly check in (via Whatsapp) just to let everyone know how you’re doing and whether or not you need some motivation! This is a confidential, relaxed, non-judgmental group, and we won’t be ‘weighing-in’ or any such nonsense because after all no one wants to be publicly humiliated and the number on the scales is irrelevant, it’s how we feel that’s the most important thing.
The only cost will be when we occasionally meet for a coffee/chat at a local café/pub where you can buy your own drink.
