Pickleball is the fastest growing new sport in the States (as well as in Bradford on Avon!) and has become very popular with UK u3as. Played by four people on a badminton court it’s a sort of hybrid tennis/table tennis game with big bats (paddles) and a bouncy plastic ball. It’s great fun and suits all ages / levels of fitness. We limit each Pickleball group to a maximum of 12 players to ensure everyone gets a chance to play. If you want to find out more about Pickleball click this link
Existing members can contact the relevant group coordinator via the Beacon Members’ Portal. New members are given a list of groups with contact details when they join. If you want to ask any questions about joining a Pickleball group before you join our u3a, then please come to one of our monthly talks or new member events. You can also contact a member of the committee via our Contact Us page.
