November – April 4th Wednesday each month
2pm at member’s homes
We are a group of avid readers who meet in each other’s homes at 7.30 pm on the last Tuesday of every month to discuss the current month’s book choice. Books are chosen several months in advance and the person who recommends a particular book also introduces it. The selection is mostly fiction, with the occasional biography, and the subject matter often sparks off a wider debate. One of our members works in the Library Service and can usually get copies for everyone.
These are some of the books we have talked about and read.
The Little Coffee Shop' of Kabul by Deborah Rodriguez 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern 'The Prisoner of Heaven' by Carlos Ruiz Zafon 'Miss Garnet's Angel' by Salley Vickers Our next two book choices are 'Restless' by William Boyd and 'Passage to India' by E.M. Forster. Pam
